I believe giving back should be part of how we do business every day. For me, success is about more than making a profit. It’s also about the difference we can make and the legacy we leave behind.
Since 2015, I’ve brought people together through In the Black, supporting Classic Finance’s partnership with The Hunger Project. These events are a reminder of what businesses can achieve when we come together to make a difference.
Building on my philanthropic work in Malawi and Ghana, I expanded my support in 2024 to include the Lebanon Mountain Trail Association (LMTA). Its work focuses on preserving Lebanon’s natural and cultural heritage through sustainable ecotourism, supporting local communities and protecting the environment.
I’m passionate about encouraging other business owners to make giving back part of their own businesses. Whatever the size of your business, I believe there’s an opportunity to contribute to something beyond it.
The Trailblazing the Future event, held on 26 February against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour, was a resounding success thanks to the generosity of our supporters, sponsors, and donors. Together, we raised an impressive $52,000 for the Lebanon Mountain Trail Association in collaboration with Sari Haddad and 6HEAD. These funds will play a crucial role in empowering communities and driving sustainable economic growth in rural Lebanon.
The event generated a $45,000 donation and we are so grateful for the generosity of all who attended and helped us to achieve this wonderful result that will go towards our latest project in Akode, Ghana. Our fundraising efforts towards the work of the The Hunger Project Australia has now exceeded $250,000 and we are committed to helping other small businesses achieve their purpose for bigger impact.
The event raised $40,000 towards Classic Finance's philantropic partnership with The Hunger Project Australia (THP).
All funds raised have been donated towards furthering the work of THP, an organisation which aims to empower impoverished communities, not through handouts, but by providing access to micro-finance, leadership, mentoring and education initiatives across Africa, India, Asia and parts of Latin America.
We believe that any business large or small can create an impact.
The event raised $20,000 towards Classic Finance's philantropic partnership with Human Kind Project. The funds will go directly towards furthering the work of The Hunger Project Australia an organisation that aims to empower impoverished communities not through handouts, but by providing access to micro-finance, leadership, mentoring and education initiatives.
